Republicans in the Missouri House on Tuesday advanced a new proposed congressional map, part of a mid-decade redistricting push started by President Trump to hold onto – and possibly expand — the GOP’s razor-thin majority in the U.S. House.  The proposed maps aim to make Missouri’s congressional delegation seven Republicans and one Democrat, a change from its current delegation that is made up of six Republicans and two Democrats. Washington — The Justice Department on Tuesday filed a federal criminal charge against the man accused of the deadly stabbing of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska in Charlotte, North Carolina, last month. The Justice Department announced that the suspect in the attack, Decarlos Brown Jr., is charged with one count of committing an act causing death on a mass transportation system. More than 600 people were arrested in a weeklong series of operations targeting the Sinaloa drug cartel, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration announced on Monday.The operations took place between Aug. 25 and Aug. 29, according to the DEA. During that timespan, DEA agents in 23 field divisions in the U.S., and seven “foreign regions,” carried out actions resulting in 617 arrests.
