The Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against New York City, challenging its sanctuary city laws.It comes less than a week after an off-duty Customs and Border Patrol officer was shot in Manhattan by an undocumented immigrant. Three fired Justice Department officials filed a lawsuit against Attorney General Pam Bondi on Thursday, after they were part of a wave of terminations from the agency earlier this summer.The plaintiffs in Thursday’s suit include Michael Gordon, a longtime federal prosecutor who also handled January 6 cases.
